Donations

Ponderous Polly is operated by the Northeast Aviation Group, a "Not for Profit" 501(c)3 corporation. Donations are tax deductible. A very small portion of the operational expense is derived from airshow appearance fees and voluntary donations for a tour of the airplane. While this may help with insurance, crew training, fuel, oil and normal maintenance, it isn't nearly enough to keep this majestic piece of history flying.

Many Vietnam veterans owe their lives to Polly and the brave crews who flew her. Please help us in showing them, and all of the service men and women who came before and after, how much we appreciate their service to this country by keeping Ponderous Polly flying. And, to do this...WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE!

Here are a few examples of Polly's medical expenses:

• $165,000 to overhaul engines and propellers
• $30,000 to recover the control surfaces

Donations come in a variety of forms and need not be cash! We will refurbish and sell just about anything to add money to the organization; trucks, cars, boats, aircraft, trailers, farm tractors, etc. Contact us, we may be able to come and get your donation.
